When I first started this program, I took 5302 and 5305 together. I was overwhelmed in the beginning until I sat down and read over the articles and blogs in Dr. Harapnuik’s site. In my undergraduate work I took classes only to pass the final exam and move on to the next course so that I could graduate. Most teachers will tell you that what you learn in college doesn’t prepare you fully for stepping into the classroom.

Once I got the BIG picture of the ADL program, it started to all fall into place, and my Innovation Proposal started to come together. The ePortfolio is more than just a place for me to put my projects, it’s a place for me to apply my ideas and describe my innovative proposal, how I plan to implement it, and about my learning philosophy. It’s a place for me to connect with my own learning and use everything I am learning in the ADL program as a catalyst for helping my own students learn by Creating Significant Learning Environments (CSLE) that gives my students Choice, Ownership, and Voice through Authentic learning (COVA).
While it is very intimidating putting my philosophy, thoughts, and work online for all to view and comment on, I do see and value the importance of reflection, socialization, and feedback.
